Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) is a process to produce a metal vapour (titanium, chromium and aluminium) that can be deposited on electrically conductive material as a thin highly adhered layer of pure metal or alloy coating. The process is carried out in a vacuum chamber and different colours are achieved using different gases during the deposition. This process of coating makes the surface more corrosion resistant, and imparts superior hardness. Also, these coatings do not tarnish or fade with time.
